Mr. Ebine was abandoned by both parents during his middle school years. He was left to raise his two younger sisters. He turned to stealing and living a wild life. Two years ago he stepped into our church and was baptized less than 3 months later. He came up out of the water with his hands raised saying, "Hallelujah!"

Six years ago, he met his mom for the first time since she had walked out of the family--some 25 or so years later. His second chance to meet her came just 5 months ago when he received a call saying she had collapsed. Someone had happened to find his telephone number. God gave Mr. Ebine 5 months to show God's love and grace to his mom. He sat at our dining table one time and said God had worked in his heart giving him the power to forgive his mom.

Mr. Ebine's mother died 3 weeks ago. Only one sister attended the funeral. None of the other relatives came. But the church family came and showed him what a true family is! Pray for Mr. Ebine that God would continue to use him in his sister's life and at his work place. His colleagues all know he is a Christian!
