25 visitors attend concert | news 25 visitors attended a concert at Sengendai Church on June 24th. Hiromi Owada, a blind pianist and soloist, shared the beauty of Christ in song and testimony which moved many to tears.
Some of the visitors attend other churches, but many attend no church and for some it was the first time ever to hear of Christ's death for us! Hiromi Owada lost her sight as an infant and has no memory of every seeing. As a youth, she struggled with questions of purpose and worth until she was introduced to Jesus, as High School student. When she heard the gospel, she realized that if a Creator-God existed and had created her, then there must be both purpose and value in her life. Today, Hiromi teaches music and performs concerts across Japan. Many of her songs speak of the inherent value of each of God's creations. Sengendai Alliance Church is one of the churches planted by the Japan Alliance Mission in the Tokyo area. Approximately 30 people attend worship each week at this church-plant. |
